Anyone use Peachtree?

I searched the forums and found a few mentions of Peachtree but obviously the majority of people seem to use QB.

I have a potential client who is asking if I use Peachtree, which I don't, and I don't do bookkeeping. I'm wondering how to answer her in terms of whether or not I'd be able to find someone for her that knows Peachtree.

Any thoughts?

I am learning and using Peachtree with a client. I would say that you simply tell her this is a service you don't provide but have a list of qualified bookkeepers who do this.

I don't use Peachtree and don't know anyone who does, sorry. If you can find someone to recommend to her that would be great, if not just tell her you have looked and can't find anyone who uses Peachtree that you can recommend to her.

I use Peachtree for one of my clients and I hate it. I'm switching them over to QuickBooks at the first of the year.

I've used Peachtree in several corporate jobs I've had in the past and I thought is was pretty easy to learn and get the hang of once I used it. I learned it over 10 years ago when a new employer sat me down in my new office next to a computer and said "There's the Peachtree manual - learn it because that is the accounting program we use". That said - I think it was easier for me to learn because I have over 20 years accounting and bookkeeping experience, so I already knew the basics of where to plug in the numbers I was dealing with. I can't speak to the difficulty of learning the program if you don't have any bookkeeping experience to start with. I am just getting my VA business started with a bookkeeping niche and Peachtree will be one of the services I provide.
