Default 1099 Report
Hello everyone:

I am using the Online Version of Quickbooks and wanted to know if there is a way to use this version to print out a report of who should me owe a 1099 Form. Is this possible?

You don't want a 1099 report for those who paid you. A 1099 report will show you who you need to send a 1099 to, if your vendors are set up properly, and your preferences are correct.

You would receive a 1099 from anyone who has paid you for $600 or more in services (reimbursed expenses are not included). So you'd look for an income by customer report. Regardless of whether a customer sends you a 1099, you need to report the income.

I am not as familiar with QB online as I am with the actual QuickBooks program, so I can't tell you which report to use.

I use Quickbooks and run a report to tell me how much each client has paid and those over $600 usually send me a 1099. As I get these 1099s, I just check them off the list. I claim the income on my taxes whether or not I get a 1099.

Hi Jenny:

Oops! I must have asked my question wrong. I was playing around in QuickBooks and found the report: Income by Client Summary! DUHHh!!!! It's definitely a Monday! LOL

Glad you found it. I just got home from my day job or I would have answered you sooner. And yes, it's a mean Monday.
