Zuckerberg is in the process of tweaking the algorithms. Have you noticed that it’s around the exact time that Facebook happened to roll out the new offers feature on our Facebook pages? Coincidence? I doubt it.

I have been reading everything I can in order to be able to use the newest social media craze to hit the web for my business and of course, for my clients.

Two of the most important things to do are:

1. Use your time with Pinterest wisely otherwise you can spend hours pinning recipes or planning your dream home (I’m a sucker for that). Why are you using pinterest? To direct traffic back to your site? To boost sales? You can do both quite easily with pinterest. So plan, strategize, act and stick to your plan!

2. Use tools to track and measure the effectiveness of each of your Pinterest campaigns. Without them, how do you know that your efforts are a success?

From Oh Heck….to Tech in seven weeks

This week The Geek Labs Technical Training for Virtual Assistants began and boom! The first Lab was full of valuable, insightful, and extremely useful information that I have begun to implement into my business. I’m also looking forward to incorporating these tools and resources into my client’s projects as well.

The labs give us the training, tools and resources to be fully fledged techie VAs. It’s suitable for the newbie to the veteran and is a whole lot of fun!

It could happen to you.

My morning ritual to start my working day is to jump online and read the news. I like to see what's happening in the world. So when I began to see headlines like 'Go Daddy hacked!' I definitely took notice.

It sucks to be Go Daddy.

By now everyone has already heard the unfortunate news that was splashed across the headlines earlier today. Go Daddy was brought down by an as yet unknown and apparently lone hacker. I can only imagine the cost to millions of small businesses and companies across the web as their websites were offline for an indefinite amount of time. I came to the final conclusion that It really sucks to be Go Daddy right now.

To be quite honest I’ve never actually considered writing one of these for my business. I have one of my own posted up on my blog Evolution Parenting but writing a bucketlist, although really simple to do, was something I had not even considered for my business.

I am a fan of the facebook page and website “Run Your Business Life” a page about having a life while running your business. I know for most of us this concept is alien since our lives are literally invested in our business ventures.
