Default Process Manager - a service you can offer as a sub
There may be a better title for this project so feel free to suggest. This project is a great way to help a VA get their business processes in order. To be productive it's really important implement processes. It can be anywhere from paying bills, dates they send newsletters, when they correspond with a perspective client, following up with their own contracts or anything they do on a regular basis. By having a seperate person writing and documenting processes it can put things in perspective.

This could be a great selling point if you offer this as a subcontracting service. Anyone out there that is doing this? Or are there VAs out there that would love this option?

This sounds like an interesting idea, have you heard of any VAs doing this for other VAs?

I don't solely do this type of task. However, over the summer I am creating a subcontractor's policy & procedures manual for my VA contractor. That's where I came up with the idea of someone focusing specifically on this type of service for others.

This sounds like a great idea. Especially for someone like me. I am fairly new and really don't know where to start. It sounds like a good starting point.

I actually offer this service but call it Operations/Systems Management. I find that once business owners have a system in place, things just run more smoothly. It could be anything for designing templates for their client consultations. Preparing a standard email response for prospects. I think the possibilities are endless.

Share with us how it works out. It's great to get well known in a specific area like this.

I've thought about offering this service to other businesses myself (although I wasn't thinking of a VA to VA service but that's a great idea!). My background is as a Quality Assurance & Analysis supervisor but basically, I provided support for the Process Engineers by analysing current processes to see where improvements could be made (time and cost reduction). I was the number crunching, chart making fool...lol But, it gave me an almost profound appreciation for the importance of processes and I'm always trying to come up with ways to work smarter and not harder. Without processes, everything quickly falls into chaos IMHO (just take a look at my house right now...lol).

So, bottom line is, processes are very important but not everyone knows how to sit back, look at how things are working now and be able to streamline (or implement) their processes to make things work much better so I think that that would be an invaluable service to offer any business. Oh, and I think that Process Management is the perfect title for this type of service (that's what I always called it when I was doing it anyhow).

That must require an appreciation and ability to pay attention to even the smallest details to suceed in your former position.
