Default How to juggle time for multiple contractors!
Not sure how many of you subcontract all your services but I'm finding it very similar to any other VA with multiple clients. You need to know how to juggle your time for contractor's projects.

Finally I've decided to dedicate weekends to my bookkeeping contractor and during the week to the one with administrative works. How are the rest of you handling this?

I am a subcontractor, have not yet expanded enough to have my own subcontractors. On a personal level for me- it is about setting the specific time for that contractor. I have worked in groups, as well as individual. There is nothing wrong with the way that you are doing it, just make sure it is enough time for that contractor and convient as well. It may not always be easy for the Bookkeeper to do just the weekend time. Let me know if I am reading your question incorrectly.

It's important to let your contractors know they aren't the only one you're working for. When I do subcontract I make sure I am able to get other subcontracting projects. I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket

Hi
Scheduling is a really big part of this business. What scheduling software do you use? Do you have scheduled time frames for meetings with either party? Maybe create a middle position like team leader, have them understand what you need them to do, to minimize interruptions. Stop the Time robbers. Just some thoughts.

A team leader acts as a gatekeeper, you provide them with a list of do's and don'ts, for following up on your more remedial tasks for the clients while your focus are on more pertinent functions or task. Have them schedule weekly or biweekly conference calls to bring you up to date on activities associated with conducting your business.

We're talking about being the subcontractor. Having multiple sub projects and how to juggle the projects. I wouldn't say you read it wrong we're just thinking out loud as the subcontractor group. There's no right or wrong answers here

Hey

I was just shooting off with some suggestions. I am not as experience as the more successful va's. And never would I imply you are right or wrong, brainstorming is my friend. If you want to talk more, I am available. Just like the many other individuals on the forum.
