Default File Management as a subcontracting service
In all offices paperwork can overtake an office quickly. This is true for our online files as well. Whether we hold them in our email for a long period of time or delete them every so often. Having a subcontractor to go into your computer to do your filing is a big stress reliever. With programs like Logmein you can easily access the contractors computer and do the necessary filing. Throwing it into a PDF format and filing that way is a great way to keep things in a consistant way.

What are some other tasks you can do as a file manager?

As a file manager, a VA or sub could back-up files based upon a set standard (monthly, quarterly or yearly, for example) and burn to DVD for mailing or off-site secure storage.

This is also one of the best methods that I use to go from paper files to "e-files", and its a tremendous help in reducing paper clutter, and be able to manage and maintain important documents the client may ask for at any given time
