I did find a group on meetup.com, but I think they are still getting it together. No meetups posted yet...
I'm in Gwinnett for the moment. It's nice to see another Metro-Atlantan on the boards.

Welcome to the forum. Nice to meet other VAs in the metro area - I'm in Douglasville. As for local VA groups or meet-ups, I haven't found any. Great idea, though.

I'm not in Atlanta yet, (not a VA yet), but I will be moving to the Atlanta area at the end of this year. I am very baby stages of becoming a VA, but all my planning is based on Atlanta. I hope to be able to get together with you all. May be could start a monthly meet up or something. Awesome, I am soo excited about this.

I'm in Atlanta in the Airport area. I'd love to find time to meet up with other VA's in the area but I still work at 9-5 job. If anyone would like to meet after work or on weekends, let me know and I will try to arrange something where we can meet and chat.

Sometime in July would work for me. It would have to be after 5:30 (or during lunch hr.) for me during the week. I'm flexible on times for the weekend.

I am soo excited to hear that you are all interested in meeting up. I'm really wishing I was living there already, but I hope it all goes well for ya and that you'll be still getting together later this year.

One thing I'm curious about, how many of you are VA's in bookkeeping area? I ask as the nervous person I am, as I am wondering if there is anyone here who would be interested in offering any hands on training. I am at the beginning of my bookkeeping course, and I'm doing very well, but I am still nervous about screwing something up for someone. As I'm not living there yet, and so I am hoping for someone to be available later this year.
