I "know" Mary from other forums, especially Craig's VA Classroom, and always love reading what Mary has to share.

But you are as bad as me with the "I spend 12-15 hours online every day". My hubby is always surprised how I can do that for so many hours.

Great interview!

Thanks to all who have responded. I felt pretty special being interviewed, and appreciate your delicious support.

Heike - I've never before concentrated so completely on anything, though I've always been passionate and active. But learning the internet is GIGANTIC!!!! And full of distractions, of course. Or maybe I'm just a slow reader... Feels like I'm on the trail of vast knowledge, so I keep hunting, and the 'net never disappoints.

But whatever, the main thing is that I don't seem to get tired of it. Or when I do, it's easy to take a break. Plus, I have no kids or anyone to take care of except Rick (who is a considerable responsibility, but then he's responsible for me, too).

I understand what you mean. I went back to working in the corporate world for just under two months and really grieved over the "loss" of working virtually. It was so bad that I resigned.

I feel very passionate about internet marketing, it's like an addiction.

Heike - Referring to passion about internet marketing as addiction would disturb me, but I'm no fool - we're all addicted to one thing or another. At least the web keeps us connected!

I have had to re-invent myself, it seems, many times over my career. I don't look back anymore. The future is my allurement these days, and the internet reflects that.

Mary, thanks so much for sharing. It's an inspiration for someone like me, just starting out.

I especially appreciate your comments about direct mailings and the yellow pages. I guess I will stick to the web for that sort of thing.

Thanks,
James

Hi Ruth,

I wanted to thank you for this great interview, and allowing us all a peek into your VA biz. I'm also on the "tad older" side, and it's great to know there are others out there!
