Lanel,

Your insight is refreshing, specially about hiring an employee. As a new VA this is the first time I heard of that since the famous sub-contracting word. Also, that you chose to move your office out of home is interesting, congratulations.

Word of mouth seems to be the best way to find clients. I have noticed all the interviews I read everyone states this.

Lanel,

It was insprining to read your post, I love your daily reminder and you are completely right. No matter how hard, busy etc it could always be worse. You remind me to aim high that you can dream big and achieve it and maybe working from home forever may not be the best option permanently.

Lanel,

Thanks for all the wonderful information. Reading through "your story" underlined the fact to me that, although it is not always easy, working virtually is tops.

Your story was inspirational to me. I'm just beginning, but would love to be in a position where I would need to hire an employee. That's the goal- to be as successful as possible.

Thanks for the encouragement.

"I learned that my clients respect me more as a business owner when I have clear defined guidelines for my business." I like this...makes sense too. I have to remember I can't be wishy washy but need to be firm with guidelines I set for my business, and by respecting my clients, I'll gain their respect too!
