These pearls of wisdom are great! I think it may have changed my outlook on when payments to team members would be paid. Does anyone pay after completion of the job?

Hi Julie,

Thank you for replying to the interview. I should mention that one bad apple should not spoil the whole bunch when it comes to subcontracting. Just a bit more research and a good relationship should be what is best when choosing a sub.

Subcontractors work as hard as a VA, that is because they are also VAs who choose other VAs as their clientele.

It is best to discuss the terms of payment with subcontractor individually. Each sub has their own terms just like we do. Most will accept 50% up front, and when the work is complete they then send you a bill for the balance.

I don't want people thinking that all subs are the same, I work with a lot of them and none were like that particular situation.
