Just a heads-up for any newbies......In case you are not aware .....most VA forms/templates are not free...unless you have a paid subscription with that particular forum.....or you buy a VA book which has certain forms included or else you buy them outright.....Personally, I don't know any other forum that gives this stuff away like VAF...... I had to pay for mine at another fourm when I started out.......so I appreciate freebies like these....

Also by posting you get to meet other VAs and vice versa...This in itself
is very informational and helps when starting your new VA business.

Wacko Re: Start Up Forms
Thanks to anyone in advance who might be able to help.

I am looking for an appropriate agreement or contract to use when working with a subcontractor. There may be one in the library, but I'm not able to view that source until I have many more threads, as I am new to this forum.

I finally reach 25 posts! YAAA! Yesterday I wanted to check out the Document Library to see what was there because the note said that I needed 25 posts to gain access. When I clicked on it, it now it tells me that I need 50 posts! Is the requirement 50 or 25?

Hi Monica,

It has been 50 posts since I have been here. I know that doesn't help much. I did a search to find more definitive information, but didn't come up with anything yet other than the fact that when you try to access it and don't have the required number of posts it tells you how many there. So yes, it is 50 posts.

I could be wrong, but I always assumed that the post requirement was to ensure that anyone who joined the forum (and took advantage of all of the great tools and advice found here) would become active members who contribute as well as utilize the information found here. So, basically, it's a way to do a bit of weeding for lack of better words. Why have 1,000 "members" if you only have 50 that are "active". Know what I mean?

No I understand the purpose of the post requirement. It's just that I thought I had met the requirement to access the Free Document Library at 25 posts only, to discover that it's now 50. I know that the post requirement to participate in the RFPs is 50. Not a big deal, just a little disappointed. So I will keep posting and learning. I'm just glad to be part of such an amazing forum!

It'll happen before you know it...lol (although it does seem like a lot at first). I think you have to have 25 posts before you can do some other things like send a PM or add a signature.

That is a great checklist also, in the day to day proceedings of what needs to be done at first contact with your client.

Why pay for something when you can receive it for free here on this forum. I know you have to have several posts before you can get into the forms, but it will be worth the wait.
But if you can't wait then I would search this forum and see if one of the contributing members may have put a post up about where to find other useful forms.

I have found so much valuable information here that I feel like I found the "pot of gold".

Good Luck

Interesting. It says on mine (right now) that I only need 25 posts to access the forms. I guess it changes once you hit 25. Bummer.

It also says 25 on mine. I was on my way to 25 - if it changes to 50 it will be disappointing.
