Default Sign off on Work?
Does anyone make clients sign off on work completed? I am in the process of creating a form to send to clients once I complete there work. I will use this to try and further protect both of us and have documented proof that they approved the work that my company has completed for them. So what do you think? Do you use this?

If you are using a Client Intake form and a contract then your only documentation should be to the client is a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly report.

For instance I send my client a weekly report, which is generated through PayMo. PayMo is free. When I begin work I log into PayMo and track my time and make my notes as to what I am doing for that day. I do this everyday and then generate a report which shows how many hours I have worked and what I did. When I done for the day I log out.

This has been a great method for me and my team. My client is always surprised as to how much we get done in a week and she loves the fact that we track our hours for her.

I hope that helps you,
Andrea

I've never heard of PayMo?! That sounds like a great tracking tool that could really come in handy! I have worked places where I have written all billable time down and it really did help when there was a question that I or the client had.

Thanks for the great tip Andrea - Paymo sounds like exactly what I need!

I've been manually typing this information for my client, because I personally want to give them details of exactly what I'm doing, just in case they ever forget how valuable my services are to them!!

There is also a Paymo for payments, but here's a link to the time tracking version.

Another great time tracking/project coordinator is Business Contact Manager with Outlook. You can create the project on Business Contact Manager and it has a time stamp on it. So you can time stamp when you start notate what you are doing and time stamp when you are done. You can also create reports on each project or client as well. You can find more information about Business Contact Manager at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/co...674171033.aspx

Another bonus is that Business Contact Manager works right along with Microsoft Office Accounting.

I think Paymo is going to suit my needs (for now...). Being free helps too!

I had planned to create a form today to present this information to my client with an invoice, and all I had to do in Paymo was play around with the settings, enter my information and it made a report and an invoice!

It is limited to 3 invoices per month however, but I'm happy enough to create my invoices elsewhere. There don't appear to be any limitations on creating reports, and I can use it to track my time, instead of doing so in Timeloc as I have been.

It's been a time-saver for me...less the time I'm spending on here talking about it!

Just a note, if you have Microsoft Suites 2003 or 2007 the Accounting and Business Object Manager comes with it.

I can not find the login page for Paymo. Does anyone know where it is?

Paymo is a new one for me, I currently use Freshbooks and it's very user friendly and professional.
