Default Policy Statement or Contract
I am writing my Policy Statement sheet and wanted some advice to see if you guys thought that I was missing any information on policies a VA should have. And also, should I turn this policy statement into a contract where I should make clients sign it?

Thanks so much this forum is soo helpful!

I am really a newbie here, but from what I've read, it's very important to have a signed contract in place for all of your clients (even friends!) just so there are no surprises on either end. From what I've seen, many contracts are more along the lines of legal documents, and may include a lot of what you have here. I'll be interested to see what more established VAs' experience is.

I am liking this Policy Statement and will add this into my contract. I will also include my hours of operation so clients know what to expect. Thanks for posting this I will help me out. Although I just sent a client my old Contract Agreement this will added for other clients that I gain.

Default Re: Policy Statement or Contract
I have what I call Terms and Conditions as well as a Privacy Policy.

In the Terms and conditions I focus on
Sending Work Requests
Identifying Client Needs
Completion of Work
Office Hours
Payment Expectations
We reserve the right to charge 10% interest per month on overdue accounts.

In the Privacy Policy I focus on:
Privacy Statement
Confidentiality Agreement
Confidentiality Clause
Client Property

I hope that helps.
