An Alternative to EchoSign
Hello,

I came across this article on BizReport about a product called e-SignLive which, like EchoSign allows contracts to be sent via the web to the client to be digitally signed.

EchoSign appears to be the most common product suggested here on the boards. I have used it for years.

I didn't recall if e-SignLive had been suggested but it too had a free option.

And while I don't often use EchoSign more than the 5 allotted free documents afforded before leveling up to a paying product, there have been scant times I have had a need to go over the 5.

e-SignLive allows for up to 10 free documents, which is a nice perk before upgrading to their paying package.

This is good news. I was looking for something similar to EchoSign, because EchoSign only allotted the 5 documents. We don't have a lot of documents, but with a new client, there are several contracts needing their signature, and if you're dealing with several clients, it could easily go over the allotted 5 free documents.

Always good to hear about options out there.

I've always LOVED EchoSign - awesome concept, excellent execution.
So does e-sign allow for up to 10 free per month (like EchoSign's 5 free per month) or is it just 10 then you have to upgrade?

I'll surely take a look but it will take a LOT to draw me away from EchoSign...

Hi Tess,

"Our Free plan is perfect for those who only need to esign 10 documents or less per month and use it on an ad hoc basis." Here's the pricing page http://www.e-signlive.com/pricing

I thought this was a nice feature, "Set your most frequently used document packages as templates that you can reuse at any time to avoid repetitive work. Just select, edit and send!"

The only difference that I see between the Free and the Premium is the Free allows for only one sender but up to 10 documents per month whereas the Premium allows up to 10 senders with 500 documents allotted per year.

I use DocuSign, I upgraded to the paid version as I send my Terms of Business with each quote so the client can sign them straight away - seems to have helped with my conversion rate too!

I signed up for E-Sign Live. It seems that, for some reason, under Account > Senders, it lists me as "Manager." I have my correct title under Identity so I don't know why it would do that. Has anyone had an success in changing that?

I received a note from the salesman at e-SignLive who explained the differences between DocuSign and EchoSign and e-SignLive. Thought to share...

"A little background on Silanis: Silanis technology is been used by the biggest banks, insurance carriers and government agencies like the US Army who trust our technology for the day to day operations. All documents signed with e-SignLive are digitally signed to ensure they are trusted, legal and secure. To check if a document is trusted, just open an e-signed document using e-SignLive and Adobe will attest at the top left hand side that the signatures are valid. You can also click on any of the signatures and an audit trail from Adobe Acrobat will open up and confirm the signature is valid. Docusign and Echosign does not do this. This is what makes us different."
