Re: Free Time Tracking Software
Anyone else not getting into MyHours.com this weekend? I can get into the main part of the site, but I can't get to the "hours" portion to track time etc.
It was working fine on Friday but starting yesterday morning, I was getting was seems to be a database error.

Annoying this seems to happen with frightening regularity. MyHours has been HTTP 500 since yesterday. Lesson learned.

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
OK, I looked it up.
The HTTP 500 error is a generic error message that Internet Explorer passes out to you when your web site errors for one reason or another; it provides no useful information at all.

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
On Firefox, it appears as a database error (I didn't get the generic 500 error). I sent an email to them and it bounced.
The main, non-database portion of the site is working fine - so I don't understand why the email would bounce.

Considering they want to eventually charge for their services - this is not a good thing. I understand wanted to get the kinks out before going live, but they should, at the very least, offer a status message on the portions of the site that work instead of leaving everyone hanging. It's possible that they've decided to go through site maintenance this weekend (grasping - I know).
BTW - it's working now!

That's what I figured it was. I just think it would be good practice to put a warning out a bit in advance that the site will be down so that the users can prepare.

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
I have used Trax Time and Time Stamp, free versions of both. I actually like both of them.

I've been using Activity Tracker through Google. So far I like it. It's easy to edit [adding info from before I signed up.], easy to use, easy to export. Since it's part of IGoogle, I don't have to load even more software applications!

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
I have tried Time Stamp, and for the most part, I like it and haven't had any real problems with it. I referred it to a few fellow moderators of a Yahoo Group I help run, and they seem to be having trouble with it. I have also tried HourGuard from NCH, and it isn't too bad either, but at times I find it difficult to manipulate at times. I am not really to keen on using an online system, but I was wondering if anyone knows of anything else, possibly free, that we could download and use to track our time, aside from those two and TraxTime?

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
I am going to research these a little more because this is something that's been on my to-do list but it keeps getting pushed aside. I'll post my findings here.

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
I am so confused with finding the right software, I have scanned the many posts and they are all great tips!! Its almost like going into a warehouse shoe store and having too many selections!!!- I will have to do a trial and error but overall I love being apart of the networking group to receive the wealth of knowledge from my counterparts!!- Thanks for the posts

Re: Free Time Tracking Software
I know exactly how you feel, which is why I am in the predicament I am in now. From the responses since my post, I think quite a few of us are in the same situation, lol.
