After the first service release (SP1) all of the glitches within Vista were taken care of. I use Vista and am very happy with it. The security features in Vista can be a bit annoying; however, as a business person I am in need of all the security that I can get. I highly recommend Vista, but a word of caution! Make sure that you are purchasing Vista SP1, otherwise you will have to download the service pack from the Microsoft website to update your OS..

I finally upgraded to Vista after seeing it on a laptop in the store! It is powerful and I love the interface. My only setback is making sure my other programs run on Vista. Overall, I love it!

I have used Vista since I got my new laptop over a year ago. At first it was a learning curve but I like using it. The only problem I have was when I got an internet suite from my DSL provider that was not compatible with Vista and it took me forever to get everything reversed. As for the learning curve it was no worse then learning all the changed in Office 2007 with the ribbons.

Just updating since I started this thread so long ago. I purchased my new computer and have vista installed on it. I really havent had much of a problem at all with it other then learning my way around. I have no problems running outlook 2003. I'll let you know if any problems arise.

My day job (I am just starting as a VA) is with a small computer repair company. Our techs hate Vista. So many people call with problems. I need to purchase a new laptop for my business but will do one of two things. Either wait until next fall and get a computer with Windows 7 or have XP installed and Vista taken off. Haven't decided. I just know Vista is not something our guys like to work with.

My day job is in IT and we don't have any computers with the Vista OS. Mostly because we haven't tested it with all the applications we are running. When we buy new computers, we pay the extra to have XP Pro installed. On another hand, my son has Vista and loves it but I opted to pay extra for XP Pro on my new laptop.
