Default Tools For Blurring or Shading Out Things on Video
Hey all -

I don't even know what to call it, so I can't search on it. I would like to know how people are able to blur out certain areas of their videos, when they are creating them. For instance, if I'm doing an instructional video, I want to blur out the area where I'm typing in my password, or I may not want to show my entire folder list.

Thanks!!!

Pam,

If you happen to own Camtasia (this link is for Camtasia 6), you can perform a "CallOut" which will allow you to blur a face, password, etc. YouTube has several videos. I did a search for "how to blur out faces within video". http://bit.ly/s1xHNu

Pam,

If you Google, 'how to blur on videos' you will find many options and YouTube videos on instruction.

Camtasia by Techsmith offers a free 30-day trial you can use to work on a particular project.

I'm realizing that I must have needed more coffee when I wrote the above post. A little delireous today. Actually I also meant to ask for what other use and what they recommend.

I use and recommend Camtasia. Like Janine said there is a 30-day trial however if this is something you do often or are thinking of adding it is well worth the investment.
