Staying organized~!
I have been searching around this site and cant seem to find what I am looking for so..........
I now have 4 clients, different things to do with each, most work days. It sounds antiquated but the only way I have been able to stay focused and organized (thus far) is to have a separate notebook for each client.. It is getting quite tedious because I have those 4 plus my own 'to do' notebook. I really need help! LOL
I had started using my Outlook tasks but that didnt seem efficient enough. I also tried adding 'to do's' to my Outlook calendar, which is working but also seems like it isnt as efficient as I need. I would like to put in what tasks I have to do for each client AND notes pertaining to that task.
SO... how do you stay focused and organized??? Do you have a certain software you like or a system of sticky notes, what?

Re: Staying organized~!
I use a partly tech/partly non-tech solution. All clients are set up in ACT! software and to-do's are entered there as well (including Goddess). Each morning, I put all of my day's to-do's (w/notes) on a white board using colored markers to prioritize - red/urgent, green/next priority, blue/3rd priority, black/low priority. I erase as I go and then use my timesheet at the end of the day to clear my ACT! to-do list - just to be sure I didn't miss anything.
I only work on Goddess part-time at the moment so this works well for me...

What about using something like Basecamp. It's an online task/time management system.

I started using OnStage a few months ago and it just seemed like 1 more thing to remember. I have started using Active Colab with one client, maybe I will look into my own... I really just need something easy on my desktop....

Re: Staying organized~!
Evening,
I have been using EfficientPIM for the past 6 months or so, and love it!
Efficient is a Personal Information Manager, cheap, fantastic support, Calendar, reminders, Password manager and the list goes on. You can set up all of your clients, with task, due dates, add colors if your wish for reminders..and much, much more.
Well worth checking out. Oh, and they also have a 30 days free trial period for you to decide if you like it!
Enjoy!

Re: Staying organized~!
Shelley, are you looking for a tool to organize your todos for each of the projects or are you just looking for a way to track the amount of time you spend for each of the clients?

Re: Staying organized~!
Hi
I still use notebooks. I know I should update, but just haven't done it yet.
One thing that really helps me is I print out a form (just a table with several columns) that has my ToDo's on it, divided by client. I just write on there what needs done. It's all on one form so it's easy to cross off. I also have a spot on there for me and my social networking. It allows me to feel not so guilty about spending time on facebook, twitter, forums, etc.
Thanks!

Re: Staying organized~!
I'm looking for a tool that will help me keep track of all of my to dos in a day. I keep track of my time in Outlook, that works for me so I am going to stay with that.
Diane, thats a good idea, I dont keep track of the social media stuff.. I guess I should keep track of that too... oye........

Re: Staying organized~!
Shelley, you might also want to check out the freeware version of EssentialPim (not to be confused with EfficientPim mentioned in earlier post). Freeware version with review is here, the official website that has both the freeware and low-cost paid versions is here. Even the freeware allows you to quickly create separate fully functioning PIM for each client (file>new>EPIM datafile). Hope this helps.
