I am a devoted Dropbox fan which has a file sharing component. You can read more about how it works on their info page here.
If you'd like to sign up for Dropbox, here is my referral link. When you refer users who then sign up, that account holder earns 250MB more free space and so does the new account holder! It's also free.
I utilize DropBox, mainly because my resident IT geek uses it at work and home. My clients love it because they can view the project/documents simultaneously. They can see at a glance when I have completed a task and there is no uploading, emailing, faxing required.
I was just getting ready to research how I would share files with clients and along comes this post. Thank you Kate for the information on Dropbox! I just signed up!
