Default Quickbooks - vs- Freshbooks
Has anyone used these in their business? If so, which one do you prefer and why?

I am self-funded and am considering using the free version of Freshbooks for my time tracking and invoices, and estimates.

I use Freshbooks for invoicing and have been extremely pleased with it. Super easy to use and also easy for the client to make payment. I imagine the learning curve with Freshbooks is quicker than with Quickbooks. I'm biased as I've only used one of the two programs but for the current size of my business, Freshbooks does the job nicely.

We use freshbooks and it seems to be very easy and user friendly. Try the free version and test it to see what you like/don't like about it and then proceed from there. Good luck!

QuickBooks Simple Start also has a free version, which is upgradable to a pro version down the road (if you choose) and all data will transfer with it. I'm a big QuickBooks fan but have never worked with FreshBooks so I'm biased.

I use Freshbooks for invoicing and love it, particularly the fact I can link it to my Paypal account so people can easily pay with their credit card - speeds up payment!

I too am a QB users but that may be the accountant in me. Freshbooks is a great program too so my advice is use what you are comfortable with because if you do not you will fall behind in your billing and books.

I'm also looking into bookkeeping software and I think I'm leaning towards Freshbooks since it seems to be able to handle bookkeeping, time tracking and project management. I'm looking for something that offers all in one.
