Default Need help & advice - Access to Clients information
Hello all,

In serious need for advice out there.

I've been researching on information for software or web base applications for the purpose of accessing a potential clients database.

One service I plan to offer is Staff Scheduling.

1. what software/ application do you suggest if the client has an installed database that I would need to access it in order to work? Is there such a thing or do I need to have the client switch to a web base application?? If so, what apps do you suggest?

I hope I was clear with my question guys. Im trying to get everything situated and be prepared in the best way possible and have all that I need before I actually get things going. I must say it is a challenge, there is so much information out there & it does seem to be a tad bit overwhelming. However I will say that I have gathered a TON of useful information from this forum alone. Thank you in advance!!

Hi MSVA,

I've utilized GoToMyPC to access my client's server which allowed me to access all of his files. It was extremely easy to set up.

I use LogMeIn or GoToMyPC too. Just keep in mind that two people cannot work on the host computer at the same time.

I have tried the LogMeIn 2 weeks ago needed it for a customer so I got the 30 days trial so was able to help the customer free of charge. It did work great. It is not something I use on a regular basis but it came useful for that occasion.
