Default In Need of a Client Management Database
Hello,

I am in need of an online client management database for a potential client. He is looking for a database that I would be maintaining (notes of contact with clients, clients information...) He has a Mac and I have a PC so it would have to be compatible with both of our computers. This client would be virtual so it would have to be accessible online for both of us.

Do any of you know of a program that I could look into. It would be nice if I could find one that is easy to understand and not that expensive would be great.

Thank you

Have you thought of using QuickBooks? You can convert your database to an Excel File and even export them to Outlook as V-cards for your client!

I have QB at home and have already started entering in client data for my first client. You can create separate databases, too.

You might consider using Microsoft Access. It also has features that allow you to share the database with your client and it's a fantastic tool. Let us know what you wind up using and good luck!

Gosh...sorry! I just now re-read... you need something on line...you might consider using Microsoft Groove--it's a platform where you can share the same documents I listed above...Let us know how it turns out.

I have been looking into this myself and I have searched a few things. I found a one that fit the bill and it's free, check out www.officezilla.com. I think the only drawback with officezilla is that it's not capable of syncing with outlook.

You should also check out Zoho CRM (www.zoho.com). Most of their products have a free version that will suit your needs. I've used the CRM before and it's pretty powerful.

I'd recommend taking a look at Quickbase (www.quickbase.com) by Intuit, the same company that does Quickbooks, Quicken, etc. It's an online user-friendly customizable database system that allows for multiple users. I used it pretty extensively a few years ago to manage my then-employer's customer information, daily operations and even some billing.

I don't know if it hits your price point but I can tell you that for us, it was worth the cost. It was very easily customizable which allowed us to do so much with it - things that only our business needed and that we wouldn't have found in a pre-packaged solution. Their website has a link for a 30-day free trial.

HTH and good luck!

Another database to look at that is compatible with PC or MAc and outlook as well as being able to upload from excel is www.AddressTwo.com.
