Default Microsoft OneNote Software
Any VAs using OneNote software? If so, have you found any helpful online training for it? It looks like a wonderful program just haven't had any luck finding much training opportunities.

Have you check your local community college's website? Sometimes they have continuing education online courses for different software programs. But I think that there are some on here that have used it, hopefully someone will chime in.

I did find this online though...maybe it might help a little.

I just found another software others have reviewed called EverNote. Anyone heard or recommend that one?

Thanks Kimberly! An under-used application I think!

I started using OneNote last year and absolutely love it. I haven't seen any training - I went through the initial demo within the program and got everything I needed. Is there a specific question you have about using it that I can help you with?

Warmly,

Lorri

I second Lorri's comments! I love OneNote. It is not hard to learn and the demo is excellent. Have you checked Microsoft's site for tutorials?

I also have OneNote and just love it (or any other software that does something similar). I especially love the "clip" feature which I use a LOT - it crops an area of the screen display and sticks it right into your notebook.

At first I wasn't so sure because it doesn't have the whole spectrum of formatting features that Word has, but once I got it in my head that it's not for replacing Word and that it's fabulous for just keeping notes organized, it became my new best friend. I'm not sure how I would do without it now.

Like the others, I also just learned it on my own. There are instructions that come with it and Kimberly's link to the MS site. It's pretty easy to learn if you're just using it for yourself. If you are planning on sharing with a client, there would be more to learn on how to set that up.

I started using it last year as well and find it great for all sorts of things from client organization, notes, web research and personal as well.

I like that you can make a schedule or list in OneNote and then put each task into your Outlook.

I learned by using the tutorial that comes with it and just playing around.

I've never heard of this program but I have been looking for something to help me keep my brains in my head with all the things I have to remember. Thank you everyone!

I started using One Note in collage and found that it was extremely helpful in organizing. It's really easy to learn and the possibilities are boundless. It comes with most Microsoft Office editions and it is definitely worth it.
