Default "Fundraiser"
Has anyone here worked with this website/software? I have been asked to create a database with literally thousands of entries.

The client has said they will provide training, but I wanted to get thoughts from people who have actually used it.

Fundraiser

Hi Shelly,

I have not worked with it but I was looking for something similar for my client. Thank you for sharing the resource. I am going to look at their documentation and see how it works and if it will be a good fit for my client. I will let you know what I discover when I am done.

I would love to hear if anyone else has already used it as well.

Andrea

Hi Shelly,

I just talked to my client about it and she was really impressed.

I wanted to share with you what she shared with me though: "Holy cow...that is one amazing piece of software. It sounds like something I would really be interested in.

You know, someone who was, say, a virtual assistant who had clients that did fund raising could use a program like that to manage their many clients who were charities, I'm thinking. I think it would be a selling point for a VA to add to their marketing that they specialize in project management for charitable groups, and then to use the features of this program as part of the sales pitch. What say you?

So, as you can see; a) I have one of the best clients in the world (just me bragging lol) and b) This is something you can specialize in and add to your services.

Take Care,
Andrea

You do have a great client there! The curator who needs this work, runs a non-profit art gallery. Im really looking forward to learning it.

What is really funny is I have been on 3 interviews with the 'board'. They liked me so much after the first interview (full time gallery staff), I got a 2nd one (I was 1 of 3 out of like 60 apps?). After the 2nd interview, they didnt hire me but liked me so much they gave me a free membership to the gallery for a year.. then about 3 months ago they called me back in for a w/e Management position.. I didnt get that job either! But the curator called me to tell me that she secretly wanted to hire me but they hired a gal who volunteered with them and really needed a job.. now this....... track record 'aint so great' but we shall see........

Most of my clients are non-profits. One thing about non-profits is NO job security. LOL
A new board can come in and somebody will have their pet person or daughter in law that does what you do and poof you are gone.

This has happened to me more than once and after the next person screws it up, I make lots of money cleaning up their work when I get hired back!

I hear you. Ive seen it at several non-profits Ive worked for. This one is only hiring me to input the initial data, after that someone within will probably learn (I will teach them) and they will keep it up weekly.
