So I found this free web meeting software. Actually you don't have to even download anything. It's made from the people at LogMeIn who have software for remote access to desktops etc. So at http://join.me, it is a simple process that allows you to share your screen with up to 250 people for free! You can also chat with those who are sharing the screen and have a teleconference with all of those participants (they give you a number to call). Seems pretty useful, secure and light. Has anyone tried this out?

I have looked at it but have not tried. Currently a big user of GoToWebinar I will be reviewing it as an alternative. The only thing I do not like about it is their is no intergrated VOIP. Recording would be several steps but at least it would be doable.

You may want to check freebinar.com -- It's free but the only downside is they have a banner ad on the right side of the screen. I haven't used it again but they already have a recording feature and they have VOIP available already. You might want to check it out.

I had the chance to use join.me this past week with a new client. I am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and she found me on their referral site. She called in a panic after trying for about six hours to update her QuickBooks software. I was able to use join.me and have her give me access to her computer and I had her up and running in about 15 minutes.

I will definitely use this software again. Worked like a charm.

I happen to use this last week. It is a simple, yet functional program. Was very easy to use and I was able to view my clients accounting program as she was using it. Would definitely use it again!

I find that I'm now using join.me alot since that first time. I sort of wish it worked in reverse (where I can initiate the conference to work on the client's computer) but I'm finding that it's fine to have people go to join.me and initiate it then give me the number to join it.

Hi everyone!

I recently used join.me for an online meeting. I also found it easy to use and functional. I was able to train another party on a program by sharing my screen. Join.me does not require any special training, registration or download; however, it does not boast too many features. But hey, it's free. There is also a pro version available. Although, I would not use it for the purpose of a webinar.
