Sometimes I am asked to send screen shots of files I have. I use the print screen button on my keyboard and copy that into an email. Is this not a good way to do print screens? I didn't think there was anything else out there that could do a better job...is this so? Thanks!
The nice thing about Screenhunter and the program Kim shared with us is that you can select areas of the screen to take images of - or take the whole screenshot....it provides lots of flexibility in how it can be used. Not sure what kind of options the button you're referring to has...could very well be just fine
Another good free screen shot tool is called MWSnap. I use SnagIt for most items but MWSnap comes in handy when taking a screen shot of application menus since you can hotkey that function specifically.
I heard of Snag It but never of these others, I havent had a use for it either yet because I usually use the old fashioned Print Screen but I know it will come in handy someday, thanks!
Jing Project by Tech Smith is awesome!! I love it. I can select how much of the screen I want to capture and then I can use the tools to add notes, add arrows etc. It is free but they have a pro version that you can do more with.
I also use Screenhunter but most of the time I just press the Print Screen button on my keyboard and open up the Paint program and paste it there. From there I can cut, edit the image. If I need to do some complicated resizing then I will paste it to Photoshop.
