Default Form Creation Software
I've had a potential client ask me about developing "fill-in forms" that her receptionist can use to take information.

I think she can simply use Word to do all that is needed, after speaking with her for a few minutes. However, she mentioned having software called "Forms Assistant" or "Forms Doc." I'm not familiar with either.

Do any of you know what she may be using? If so, what has been your experience with it?

Your first link doesn't seem to work. Can you tell us where you wanted us to look?

I agree with Maria, you should check out Microsoft Office templates.

Thanks all, but I apparently talked myself out of a project.

As I was gathering information on what she needed to accomplish and what she had tried so far, I asked if she used any type of specific database programs or used simple spreadsheets to keep information. I told her I could create what I think she's looking for with Word, quite simply.

She ended up taking my questions and trying to do it herself:

You had mentioned a spread sheet approach to the data, and I looked at our customer manager data base again, and I think I've figured out a way to incorporate the data we need into that system.
She did say if she couldn't get it to work she'd get back with me. <sigh> :prrr:

Hi Robin Ann,

In my opinion, she never planned on hiring you. There are people like that out there who try to pick others brains just to get some information. Don't let it bother you too much. She may contact you again, so make sure you want to deal with someone like that before you take her on as a client. Not all clients are like that.
