Default Desktop faxing?
I am looking for some software that will allow you to fax from your desktop. Since I don't have a land line I know that this tool will be absolutely essential. Thanks! I may have found one, but I need to test it out, the rating was low at cnet.com http://download.cnet.com/Faxtastic-D...-10493292.html

Staci,

Here's a thread about faxing that offers solutions to online faxing Receiving Faxes online

If you use the search feature above and input efax or fax, there are other threads you may find useful.

Actually I did that first before I asked. I wouldn't have asked if I had found the information I was looking for. The services referred to in that thread are not free But thanks

Staci,

These were mentioned in the thread I sent to you.

K7.net is free. eFax has a free trial version. Faxzero . http://www.gotfreefax.com/ is free.

Echosign which I use is not a dial-up service but documents can be sent electronically for download by the recipient with 5 documents per month allowed.

I did a Google search and found this article which lists several others http://savedelete.com/10-best-free-o...-services.html
Scanr offers a scan into a cell phone by taking a picture. Pam Fax looks free and uses Skype so no land line needed.

Most efax services don't offer a totally free service. Either they are a trial or there are some limitations to the number of pages which can be sent.

Hope that helps.

Janine

I use Maxemail and love it. They offer a number of pricepoints to choose from.

Hi Staci, I use RingCentral. When I receive faxes I get an email and text notification and I'm able to view the faxes from my phone when I am away from my computer. It's not free however there is a free trial. Here's the link for more information . http://www.ringcentral.com/fax/featu...-it-works.html
