Default Adobe Pro-Your thoughts
I'm wondering how many of you own Adobe Pro and/or how many of you get requests for creation of fillable pdf documents but do not have the software. Adobe Pro is expensive.
I am familiar with Adobe Pro. If there is a market I may consider buying it.

Linda,

I use Adobe Pro and love it. I actually use it more than I though that I would. I originally purchased as I had two clients that have fill forms (coaches) and some per projects and find that it comes in very handy for all my clients in one form or another.

As for cost, it depends on the demand that you have. I rarely get requests from clients for only fill forms.

I also use Adobe Pro and love it! It comes in handy when creating contracts (can do with fillable areas or customize for specific clients) and numerous other documents - Excel, Word, website captures, scanned documents, etc., etc. I also use it to create nice looking fillable forms, such as a credit card info form (I encrypt [and also password protect] the pdf), web design questionnaire, new client questionnaire, forms that calculate for invoicing or other documents, and...the list could go on and on.

It is an awesome program. I use Software Surplus a lot for purchasing software. For the FULL version (NOT upgrade) of Adobe Pro (Windows) version 9 it is $139.00 (Mac is $20 more). You might find other online stores that sell v9 for less (vX [v10] is available for preorder, but is darn expensive!). I have a history with Software Surplus, so I use them - they are less expensive than Amazon for full version 9.

I absolutely love Adobe Pro. I mostly use it to make some documents non-editable, or if I need to create PDF documents for recipients who don't have the software program I created the document on.

I also like to use it for turning PDF documents back to editable Word Document.

By the way, I am a current student, so I bought my full Adobe Pro 9 for like $40.

Linda, once you have it you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. I do not get a lot of requests for fill in forms, (having said that I had one last week) but I am often moving back and forth from pdf into excel or word and the OCR function is great when you only have a paper copy. It has saved me countless hours of data entry.

Cheers!

Count me in as a big fan!! The form designer seems daunting at first, but with practice I have come to love it.

Thanks for the software surplus information. And glad to know it's a valid site. Looks like they have great products and good prices.

I found something I want at Software Surplus. I put it in the shopping cart but the checkout button doesn't work. Is anyone else having problems?

Stacey, Linda was also having problems and has emailed them. I tried myself to see what she was experiencing and had the same problem. Linda is going to update when she hears back.

I've shopped with them for years, so I am sure it is just a temporary glitch. Hoping so anyway!
