Default Google Apps
How many of you ladies here use google apps to help with your VA business? Do you find the service worthwhile? I am looking into using them to find a time tracking app that will allow me to log the hours that i put on a project so that my clients can check project status. Anyone find something like this?

I use Google Apps and love it. I decided to go that route since I now have an Android and the sync function is awesome.

Apps have many add-on programs and tops on my list are Echosign, Spanning Backup, ScheduleOne, Mailchimp and Mavenlink. Mavenlink is a project management program that works with apps that will allow you to track time/expenses and invoice clients.

I can easily get to any of those programs from my apps account.

that's great to know, Lee. thanks so much for letting me know. i'm definitely going to go the google apps route. my research shows they do have a lot of good options. As far as Mavenlink, can clients get a log-on ID to check project statuses?

On Mavenlink, each you give access to each client or consultant. There is a dedicated email address for them to post to projects or they can go in and set up their own tasks, deliverables etc. You can also set levels for each user to for example to view invoices.

Mavenlink offers a special that is you leave a comment on Google app then you get it at a discounted price. I believe you can find it on the apps marketplace. Easy way to get an upgraded version for little dollars.

We are very much identical here from Google Apps to the phone type all the way down to the management apps

I started using Google apps about 6 months ago and find it definelty worth the investment. I use Zoho (several apps in their collection), Nutshell, Echosign, gMinutes, Worketc, Nutshell and Shoeboxed. I am currently looking into the potential of a number of additional apps for a few clients.

The cost for most apps are relatively inexpensive, numerous are free. Free with the ability to make me more productive is always a plus in my book!

I started using Mavenlink last month and absolutely love it. Not only is the interface intuitive, they also have a great Customer Service team that will walk you through each aspect of the program. I looked through a ton of Project Management programs, and they are by far my favorite.

I too use Google Apps and love it. I however did not like Mavenlink. I tried it, but felt it was inadequate. I like myIntervals MUCH better (http://www.myintervals.com).
