Default Screenhunter 5 - FREE screen capture tool
We absolutely *love* this free program from Wisdomsoft - we use it for everything from grabbing screen shots of video files, sending sample pics, of an in-progress site design to taking the final image for use in our portfolio.

It's great for measuring a space on a site as well, as you can stretch the marker tool across any part of the screen to check the exact number of pixels.

The uses are endless, and it's free which makes it even better!

Get the latest Screenhunter (version 5) here.

UPDATE: CHECK FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF THIS DOWNLOAD AT THE LINK ABOVE - it has loads of new features INCLUDING the 'live browser recording' similar to JingProject!!

Great tool! I just sent it to my client yesterday (after finding it here) so she could send me image samples from various websites she's interested in working into a marketing plan.
I also envision using this to help prepare her new press kit, as you suggested, but hers will be in Powerpoint so will be very easy to add any kind of image to.
I especially like the fact that I can take a screenshot of any part of the screen, any size - it's incredibly versatile in that way and has some interesting potential for graphics projects.

Yeah, it really is a great program - and completely free. It never ceases to amaze me what developers and programmers are willing to share with the public.
By the way - *love* your little icon and link

Screenhunter is a great freeware tool. Unfortunately, I had already purchased SnagIt before I learned about Screenhunter here on this forum. My tool file is getting full thanks to this wonderful forum!
