Hi everyone! I just wanna chime in and days that Lisa book would be very helpful. About a month and a half I dove into the Twitter pool. The most empowering thing I've learned so far is that there are a ton of different ways to approach a Twitter strategy and ten times as many tools available to manage each different aspect. It really seems there is a method for each individual business or person and a lot of it depends on what works best for you and what resources you want to dedicate to it. I like to play Youtube videos in the background while I work during the day. Not everyone is going to be that interested but you can find people that fit what you are looking for pretty easily. Even if you don't get 100% of what they are saying you can play it again later. At first I was just as confused and perplexed as to how I could possibly gain anything. It was really frustrating to tweet to the abyss. Once I got the very basics down it actually got super fun. I'm currently using it mostly to network. I've actually already met some people that could certainly be potential clients in the future many of which live in the area I'm moving to in January. It only took about 5 weeks for me to get 1000 followers but if I were to do it all over again I would have taken things more slowly to target people more carefully. Over the last couple weeks I've started to get much more into analytics. That has been really fun because I can see much more information about what people are attracted to me and the services I offer. Sorry if I got rambly, but to be honest it does sort of make me incredibly giddy that all these tools are readily available for anyone, no matter your current knowledge, to reach such a huge and well targeted audience. Anywho, I would read as much as you like, and just dive in. Its really not as confusing as it all sounds
Best of luck in your adventures in the Twitterverse.
