In my quest to get my business name out there, I am shocked to find out the importance of social media and have been won over! Even my son mentioned that this was discussed in his college economics class. When I was researching how to put different things on my FB and/or web page (like a weather channel widget), I ran across this and thought it was pretty good. (Has nothing to do with what I was looking for, though!) The site might also be of interest as well. (Funny how you can go down so many rabbit trails; researching one thing and get led off in a completely different direction!)

Good article, glad i did it. I really like facebook and forums. I can make comments, keep in touch with people without having to talk for long periods of time. I can get along with anyone, teach classes, do all kinds of stuff with people as long as I don't have to talk to one person for very long. Facebook has really forced me to be more social. I'm sure it's good for me. Again, thanks for the article.

Thank you! I'm already a Facebook fanatic and have a fan page for another "venture." I have a girlfriend who is making a mint with the boom of social networking - she's created her business based on it. So, it's DEFINITELY a great way to get the word out about your business.
