I quite like it! It just popped up for me a few minutes ago. At first glance I think it's pretty neat and very well done but am just curious what everyone else thinks?
I see potential for complaints from people who are losing background space (for advertising, etc.) but personally, that doesn't bother me.

I don't have the new Twitter yet But, I will certainly tell you what I think when I do. I am soo curious to see what it is like. Does it make you want to hang around and tweet?
I really like most of the new features. There are a couple of things that it took me a bit of time to figure out like how do you know that an account is following you back- but I did find it in time. I also like the side window to see the tweets of people who are considering following back. I don't like the search feature that now seems to be combined with the Find People feature. And, I tried to subscribe to an RSS feed for a tweet stream today and it didn't work, so I don't know if that's due to the new Twitter or if it was a browser issue on my end.

Looks super easy to use and it's great that you can access everything from 1 page.
Backgrounds should stay the same. If it's gone now, it's probably because of some sort of Twitter glitch going on and it will probably reappear soon. I've seen avatars disappear for periods of time and then come back. My clients who have New Twitter still have their custom backgrounds.
I do not have the new twitter yet however I am looking forward to seeing the new changes. Maybe this will give me the incentive to enact my new social media plan as I have been neglecting Twitter for some time.
I don't have it yet either, but I waaaaaaaaant it! (that's whining) I'll let you know Tess as soon as I get it. I'm hearing mixed reviews across the board.
I just got it the other day..haven't played with it much yet, really like Hootsuite. But I did notice that is covered up my custom background, so I removed it for now until I can figure out how to redo it. Any suggestions on that?
