Default Using Ecademy for Business Networking
Dear Friends,

I joined Ecademy few weeks ago, which is Business Network. I could find a big number of VAs registered there promoting their services.

I would like to invite all of you those are not already a member of Ecademy to join and promote your services.

just go to ecademy.com and register your self there. Alternatively you can message me with your e-mail ID and I will send you an invitation from that site (which will help me to become a power networker in lesser time).

Hope to see all of you soon there.

Regards,

Kajal

I'm a member there Kajal - I joined last year when invited to participate in a discussion about the industry. However, I found that the VAs were pretty much just promoting amongst each other, rather than elsewhere and we really need to be promoting to prospective clients, not our peers. Or, do you mean they were promoting outside the VA forum there?

I recently joined ecademy, and have found some of their forums to be helpful to my business for marketing purposes. I hestitated joining the VA forum, since I am in so many other forums (like this one) dedicated specifically to VAs. In the end, I did end up joining, but the forum seems to be full of call centers in India than anything else.

I have joined the referrals club, the article marketing club and a few others. If nothing else, I will at least get some good ideas for my own marketing and referral network.

I was a member of ecademy for years but never really "clicked" with it. I was, however, impressed with how well organized the site is and all the options that are available for members.

In my opinion it is a bit pricey though, especially to place ads on their website.

I am a member but find that LinkedIn works just as well. I get a lot of invites on ecademy from people who I think are just trying to get their power networker status rather than caring about what my business can do for them. A message just saying "Hi, I'd like you to join" is not very personal. They just go to the New Members list and send out bulk messages. I do like to read their forums and have contacted people with interesting businesses etc to learn about them. I do the same on LinkedIn. I've made some interesting contacts, but not received any work through them as yet - although I haven't tried that hard ;-)

I found out about ecademy while reading "The Virtual Handshake" and joined. I received a ton of contact invites from people all over the world but didn't feel 'connected' with them. I felt like it was a forum for adding names to contact lists, but no lasting connections.
