Default Use TweetLater to find potential clients
Tweetlater.com is currently my favorite newly discovered Twitter application.

With TweetLater you can set up email alerts based on key words. I currently search the following: virtual assistant, bookkeeping & QuickBooks.

You can chose how often you get the email sent to you collecting all the times those words show up. I get mine every hour. I then scan through the email to see if anyone is potentially in need of some help in my areas of expertise.

Then I send out a tweet quickly introducing myself and offer to help, should they decide they want to outsource.

I've had a few bites and have some phone consultations scheduled as a result of this. I've just known about it for about two weeks so I haven't had anything materialize yet as a result but know it's only a matter of time.

The best thing about it is that it searches those keywords on the entire Twitter "universe" --- not just with people that you follow or that follow you!

Have fun with it!

I had heard of this and am intrigued but haven't yet taken the time to investigate - will finally do so this weekend on your recommendation. Thanks for the nudge! It sounds like a great tool to help make the most out of what Twitter has to offer.

The Tweetlater Keyword feature is also good for tracking your own Twitter ID, name or business name for brand/reputation management either for yourself or your client.

Okay, I admit I am intrigued. I don't currently Twitter, but I think it's something I have to seriously consider. I guess anything that gets your name out there is a good thing.

Just a comment you can also do this via friend feed, they allows imports of around 59 different types of feeds and then you can view them all in one place say Google Reader.

This means that you can track all your favorite blogs, Tweets, tweets searches, You Tube searches, news searches and so on all in one place

I never would have thought of that. How do you do it? Search by @yourname or just yourname?
