Default Twitter Post Disappeared
I posted a link on my Twitter account this morning. Just as soon as the link went up, it was erased.

Does that mean the original author doesn't want it posted someplace else? What could be the reason? Any ideas?

Just curious.

That is strange. I almost wonder if the author was having hosting issues and wasn’t aware there was a problem. Most people love having there work shared, so as long as you give them the credit I can’t really see this being a problem.

Hi Alice,

I know Twitter has been having issues lately with tweets disappearing from profiles so it could be just that. I know lots of people who are having this problem, myself included, but it hasn't been consistent.

Oddly enough, I've noticed with my own tweets, if one disappears from my profile, it's still in the public timeline - like if I searched for my name - in the search results, there it is - just not on my profile, for some reason.

Here's a search for your name, is the tweet there?
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=AliceCWilson

If not, I'm not too sure of what the issue is, but I just thought I'd mention you're not alone in missing tweets & it's more than likely just a Twitter glitch (probably).

Great - no problem, any time! Again, I have no clue of why they keep having this issue, but it can be very frustrating at times! lol

Twitter did the same thing to me the other day, then it appeared later in the day...very strange. I know I have been having random issues with Twitter lately, mostly it is over capacity and I get the "fail whale" picture. I think Twitter is so popular right now they are having a hard time keeping up with everything.

Bridget,

The more I thought about it, I began to wonder the same thing.

Twitter is definitely on overload :-))

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
