Thanks for posting this, Dawn. I'm going to check out Twellowhood and see who's close by.

The blog post with the list of twitter apps was really helpful too. I love checking out new Twitter stuff especially as I take on managing more and more of my client's Twitter accounts.

Thanks for this Dawn! I am amazed on an almost daily basis at the huge amount of sites, features, APIs and other internet goodies springing up out of almost thin air around Twitter - incredible!

UM. Not so crazy about Twitter. First of all, where do you find all these applications on the site? When I signed up all I see is my stuff. I don't see a home page and I can't figure out how you start networking. I have facebook and linkedin and I can see all sorts of profiles and ways to connect with others. On Twitter I just don't get it.

Hi Jessica,

There are resident Twitter experts here, whom I'm sure will reply in greater detail but I wanted to stop by and say that the applications are not on the Twitter site or homepage. Rather they are located in the links provided by Dawn, in the original entry of this thread.

I'd also like you to encourage you to keep at it. Twitter has great potential for building relationships in a 'high-touch' way.

I'm sure my peers will jump in with links and instructions. Please don't give up.

Regards,

Jan

OK and thank you. I'm perfecting my Linkedin page and then making my way to Facebook and I'll go back to Twitter.

Twitter is great for networking and social networking. In order to get the most out of it, you need to "follow" people that interest you and interact with them. When I first started out on twitter it was slow for me until I built up a good network of followers and people to follow.
