Facebook doing it again. They just launched a change to the layout of FB Pages! If you are an admin you should see - or should soon see - that you have buttons at the top of your pages where you can take a tour and also see in preview mode.
Everyone will be upgraded by March 10th...I think was the date.
So far - I am loving the fact that it would seem you can now change your business category because it would also seem they added a lot more choices.

Thanks, Pam. I'm my own FB page admin of course, but also share admin duties with someone for a community FB page. I noticed the new buttons tonight on both sites. Facebook does like to keep changing things, don't they?!?
Pam, is this something that come March 10th FB is going to upgrade everyone who hasn't done so already? Meaning do you have a choice to keep your page the way it is.
Yes- that's correct. It will upgrade across the board. Now-I'm gonna make a disclaimer. FB actually made this upgrade back in December but they took it right back down a couple days later becuz of bugs...but as it stands now that was the official word from them.
Thing is this upgrade actually has some retty cool stuff! So far I like most of the changes and I can work arond the things I'm not that fond of.
I never liked FB deciding for me what are "engaging and interesting posts," so I'm not happy about that aspect of the "Everybody" wall filter setting, having that set to filter only one way, the way FB decides. Oh well. There are some aspects I do like. For instance, I think "using Facebook as the page I admin" should very interesting.
Yeah, I remember a while back they were talking about changing it and then it just didn't happen.
Pam, I just switched my Page over to the new format and something happened I wasn't expecting...my Profile URL now has my business name in it. I guess this is a default of some type because it appears I can change it (but of course only change it once!). So before I go jumping into changing it and then wishing I hadn't, what is your feeling about leaving it with my business name?
