I have joined as well. What is funny, though, is that I first learned about the VA industry by doing a search while looking for something else and also checking out the questions and the jobs in LinkedIn. But when I finally signed up with LinkedIn, it didn't have a separate industry for VA's. Hopefully, this will give them a major hint to add us in.

I just placed my request for membership. I'm so glad you took the initiative on this. It's the first big step... now we just need strength in numbers. Maybe someday, more of these networking sites will become more savvy to our industry; not only providing for a virtual assistant category, but subcategories within since some of us have very finite or unique specialties. But, again, I know the current realities... a girl can dream though!

I've been using LinkedIn and have grown my network tremendously. I've submitted a request to join and hope LinkedIn responds by adding virtual assistants to their category.

I got an e-mail from ************ today with an invite to join the Virtual Industry group at LinkedIn. I hope it is this same group. I did submit my request to join. Have only just now been figuring out how LinkedIn works and did think it was a little strange that with all the VA's out there that it was not included as a category or industry. Hope to see you all there!

Thanks Lisa. I just checked out which I got invited to, and it wasn't this one. Will try and find VA Industry Group and send in my request to that, assuming it is the one everyone here is talking about. Thanks!

Yeah, it was started by someone from here a couple of months ago. I think it was "Sundi".

Hello! Please be patient if you have submitted a membership request recently...I went on a four day weekend and upon my return I'm flooded! This, of course, is a good thing!  I simply didn't want anyone to feel like they had fallen through the cracks. I check every single profile and the listed websites, as well as correspond with those who might have questions...it just takes me a little time!
