I've signed up with HootSuite and have yet to use it since I need to sit down and figure out how it works. Then today I was speaking with someone about Constant Contact (for them, not myself) and looked at their webpage and saw a new associated company with them called Nut Shell Mail or NutShellMail.com.

Does anyone have any recommednations why one would be better than the other? Pros and con of either that you've used? Another company all together?

Here's what I have going and I need to simplify things:

Have a FB automatically updating my Twitter (Thanks Beverly Owusu of The-Personalassistant.com here on the VAF's).

My BLOG was won here on the VAF's (Thanks to Beverly Owusu - excellent job!). Now I'm feeling comfortable with posting and will be adding documents to post in the future right now I'm doing them once at a time.

I've also joined Linkedlin recently and am learning how it works as well.

So, will one of these above handle all of what I'm needing? I'm thinking the blog will be one and the rest will be under either HootSuite or NutShellMail.

Comments, suggestions, feedback would be great!

TweetDeck or Seesmic Desktop do a great job at the all-in one updating. The problem being that you need to filter what goes to which network. Will you be using Twitter to engage or will it be used to send updates (through Facebook)?

I use to use Twitter to engage, but with the limited time now, it's updates via FB.

Any differenced between TweetDeck and Seesmic Desktop?...and or the other two that you know of?

i don't 'tweet', but there is an article about hootsuite in the last issue of TVE Magazine here that might help you (page 21).

I personally like Hootsuite. It updates twitter, linkedin, Facebook page and your Facebook profile if you want. You can also set up feeds to automatically post your blog posts to which ever of the social networks you want.

They also have a great little gadget called a Hootlet which you can use to post to Hootsuite(social networks) any page your reading on the web that you'd like to share.

For those of you interested, you can use a plugin on Wordpress setups called "WP-Twit", this'll automatically publish your blog post to Twitter the moment you hit Publish!
