Default HELP PLEASE Trying to "like" people
Ok so here is my Facebook page if you can Like it
I have been checking out everyone else facebook page but i can not find a link to "like" them. I really want to start building my network but I don't understand. The only thing I can see that I can do is add page to favorites? Any ideas?

Hi Stephanie
I'm sure one of our Facebook experts can explain this in a better way but it looks to me like you have a business page here, so you can add things to your page's favorites and other people will 'Like' your page/company. You don't add friends via a business page.

You need a personal page in order to add people as friends and with that page you can 'like' your own business page as well as any other pages you wish.

Unfortunately, I am not the best person to direct you on how to create your personal page - hopefully someone else will chime in here with some more info! But I hope this little bit of info helped.

Stephanie,
You must have a personal profile to "like" pages. If you have "Fanned" them in the past, then you don't have to "like" them now, they assumed that you already "Liked" them when they changed the wording.

Remember the wording: Business Page is one that does NOT have a profile attached to it, so you can't "like" other pages, just add to your pages favorites.
Pages (FanPages-ones hooked to the profile, Community Pages-ones for fun, Business Pages-no profile attached-Celebs use these more then any one else) you can "like" with your personal profile.

Rebecca, I am not sure what I have. I had a personal page (that is still there) then I created a business page. I do not know what I have I am new to this and very confused. When I log in I can go to the Home page(where I see my wall and all my personal friends and posts), I have a Profile (which I have edited to business), And then I go to Accounts and then manage pages. I select my Virtual Assisting Page which is here. Any Help for this lost Social Media newbie?

Stephanie;

You can like other business pages from your personal profile.

You can add another business page to your business favorites - but cannot like them from this page.

Some VAs use their personal profiles for business and do not have like buttons on them because a like button is only on business pages (old fan pages). So it may be that the particluar VAs page you are looking at is not actually a business page itself.

My business page is at Essential Office Solutions at the top of page you will see the like button.

My personal page is at Cm Bruce. At the top you will see the "Add as A Friend" button indicating it is a personal profile.

I hope that helps.
