Default Guide to Google+ for Entrepreneurs
Ran across this great write-up (complete with numerous embedded how-to videos throughout the article) all about how entrepreneurs can make the most of Google+ and wanted to share.

Check it out here at the Fast Company website

From the article:
Response to Google+, the new social networking platform from Google, has ranged from excitement to groans from people already overwhelmed with too much social media activity.

If you haven't yet gotten on Google+, or haven't started really exploring the platform, here's what you need to know:

Getting Started on Google+

Probably the first thing you're going to want to do on Google+ is review and edit your profile. Chances are that Google already has some (hah! "some") information on you, perhaps through your Gmail account, or your use of a Google app, or even because at some point you set up a Google profile.

However, it's probably time to review that information and update it. Like any social media platform, the more "lived in" your profile is, the more you will attract and engage other people on the network.

This is a great resource, Tess. Has Google started to make Google+ available to the public? I know that initially it was by invitation. Although I know that the jury is still out on Google+ because it's so new, but do you foresee it being advantageous to VA small business owners?

I think you still need an invite but I see people handing them out on Twitter left and right

Peppy - if you still need an invite, PM me and I'll get your info and have one sent to you.

As to your question about Google+ for small biz owners - I think it is too early to tell. Google is supposed to add business pages later, but for now it is supposed to be personal profiles only. I'm on there and learning my way around primarily to be able to help any clients who want to know about it and get started. Only time will tell who it really works for, if anyone.

I see comments left and right about Google+ how limiting it is for some people regarding its policy on only using your real name, but me thinks Google+ is the future, so I'm also keeping an eye on this development.

Your resource is great Tess, thanks.
