Thanks for sharing these...QR codes are becoming increasingly popular it seems. I personally am in two minds about them - a lot of people dont know what they are or what they do, or they dont have the necessary software on their phones to 'scan' the codes. One issue i have with them is you don't really know where you're going to be taken to after scanning the code...I would only scan a code from a person/company that I know and trust! On the other hand, they can be used in pretty nifty ways, for example I was given a business card with the ladys QR code on the back of it! Definitely something to think about anyhow.

I think the idea of using it depends on your target market: if that might include tech-savvy, web-savvy, or wanna-be-savvy folks, then a QR code is going to say "modern", "savvy", and "up to date on current trends".

If a lot of people don't know what they are...they eventually will as the purchase of smart phones increases, as will the use of QR codes.

Most smart phones come with QR scanner software already installed and/or free on their provider's marketplace. I can vouch for ATT and Verizon.

Most QR codes come with an accompanying text caption stating, 'Scan for a coupon' or 'Watch our video' or 'scan here to join our Facebook page'. I don't think I have come across a code where I didn't know where I would be taken.

I use QR codes on the back of my business cards and interestingly, this has been the icebreaker during conversation when I handed the card to them.
