Yes, tinyurl.com is great.

Another thing I use is the shrink url function in my Hootsuite.com account. It is good to shorten links in Twitter, but you can also use it to track how many people have viewed your links because of the built in tracking hootsuite uses. Sometimes I just cut and paste the url link to a blog or article that I want to post on FB or Linkedin (and Twitter for that matter), and later I can check to see how many clicks I received.
