And yes, there are so many weirdos in the world doing the most unimaginable things! I find it terrifying! The public only hears what the media chooses and/or has the ability to write about. My perception of the world changed drastically after spending several years as a 911 dispatcher. My poor daughter suffers because of it. I know living in FEAR is the absolute wrong direction, but I don't know how to detach from it when it comes to my children!

Just always be cautious and keep in mind when posting tweets and status updates on networking sites, that there are psychos EVERYWHERE! (I recently wrote a blog about the Twitter craze and touched on safety issues.) Most of us are guilty of putting it all out there between our websites, blogs, forums, networking and micro-blogging sites. Let's just hope we never become a serial killers prey. (See what I mean....I sound like a freak! LOL)

Thanks Dawn for your Twitter comments on your blog, I just emailed it to me. I want to look at it. I'm not on Twitter yet but want to research it a little bit more, so I appreciate your posting the link here. I guess as a 911 dispatcher you "heard it all"!

Dawn, I agree, you can never be too careful in today's society. Be careful what you post out there as you never know who is going to read or look at it!

Thanks for this link, which I just passed on to my college age daughter. It helped me to continue to hit home, be careful what you post on the internet and who you befriend.
