Question Facebook Help!
Right now I have a personal Facebook page & had my mother start a personal one for herself. Yesterday I tried to start a "business page" for my Mother's business (Floral and gift store) that would be seperate from her personal. I'm having issues and need help!

1. Facebook won't allow her email address. I believe it because the email starts with info@businessname.com. I'm not sure away around this. Any ideas?

2. Her business name is there, but it's asking to create a page and required me to enter my (or her name) not the business name. Now, it's asking to create another personal page. Can anyone help me here? This is confusing! Now, it's showing two of me in regards to personal pages and I tried to delete it, but it's somehow all tied together.

Any help would be appreciated! I thought I would start with her FB page first, then create mine....

Business pages must be created within the personal profile account. You cannot set up a separate business account. An email can only be associated with ONE account. To set up a business page, you need to scroll to the bottom of your newsfeed and click on the link that says "Advertising." Then you click on the Pages and set up the page. It won't be linked to the personal profile but who's ever account it is will be the Admin for the page.

If you've created two profiles, then you can delete on by going into the Account settings listed at the top. Click on profile and then choose Deactivate at the bottom.

OMG!!! A friend of mine was having this exact same problem and, since it wasn't my problem, I never even thought to ask on the Forums. DOH!

It is now printed out and I'll pass the info on to him (he was trying to set up a FB account for another friend of ours who owns a restaurant.)

Thank you! Any suggestion on attaching her accurate profile with the business page that's already been started, or just recreate another business account. What will happen with the old business profile that was started? Thank you again!

Hi Robin. The personal profiles in facebook always 'own' the fan pages. So if you have set up a profile with her the business information I would delete it, as facebook will delete any profile they see as a business. Now if you opened the business fan page you are fine. I am just not sure what you set up.

Now there is no way to change 'ownership' of a fan page, at least that I am aware of.

Does this help?

Ok, I've got her page set up under her personal profile. I found the link to add a page. How do I completely remove the 'error' page? I tried to deactivate it, but when I do a search it still shows up. Any suggestions? I'm just wanting to completely remove the first page not attached to her personal profile. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your replies....

You just need to go to the first page, and then chose the option to delete the page. Can you access the page? The delete option will be just under the image on the top left, you will have to be logged in has your mom.

You can change the ownership of the Page by adding someone as a fan and logging into the admin section of the Fan page and making them an admin then take off the person you don't want as admin anymore. But they have to FIRST be a fan. The new "admin" can log into the pages with then log into their FB account.

Oh, so then the new admin would then just delete the old one. But would it still be linked at all to the old admin?

Only if the old admin is a Fan. But once they are deleted as admin, they no longer have "admin" status.
