Default Facebook ads?
Has anyone considered (or currently using) facebook ads? I was considering doing that, but thought I'd try to get some feedback first.

Thanks in advance,
Judy

I used to have a Facebook ad. I got a couple clicks, but nothing more, so I discontinued it.

I use FB, but have never done an ad. Judy, I'm interested in futher responses, too.

Kathy, do you have to pay for those ads?

I also have developed a separate business page (but haven't utilized it). Not sure what to do with it or how to get people there. Is it basically just to invite people there so they become "fans"? I know there's a separate thread on here for FB. I think I probably need to go there and see.

u do pay, but there's 2 pay options. per-click and something else. i need to do more checking. anyway, yes, it's a 'fan' type acct. i don't know if i'd do it for the biz w/o paying for the ad. (my apologies for this less than professional post, grandbaby in arms).

Thumbsup Re: Facebook ads?
Hey All!

I've done a bit more checking into the FB ads. There's a lot there to read, haha.

I did create a page for the biz, and am finding that it's a bit different than having your personal FB Wall.

There's more you can do with it, including;
Events
Info page
Links, Photos
Discussion Board
Reviews
Video...

There's also the FaceBook Connect. It's quite involved. Here's the link to view what you can do with it.

http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/...cebook_Connect

Here's what I found out on the pricing for ads:

If you choose a Pay for Clicks (CPC) model, you will also bid on how much you are willing to pay for each click on your ad. Facebook will display your ad in the Ad Space, or both. The amount you are charged will never exceed your daily budget.

If you choose a Pay for Views (CPM) model, you will also bid on how much you are willing to pay for every thousand impressions of your ad. Facebook will display your ad in the Ad Space. The amount you are charged will never exceed your daily budget.
Hope this helps some.
Judy

Thanks, Judy, but your original question remains unanswered. I want to know too: do FB ads work? Seems they don't have a very good reputation.

I haven't really been able to find much on the question of if they work or not. I imagine it's much like anything else out there on the web. You get what you pay for. I do know that any marketing takes time. Whether it's SEO, Ads on FaceBook or any other online marketing tool. I'm not "pro" FB, I'm just wondering what would be the best "bang" for the buck, Hahaa!

If anyone out there has any other suggestions, I can sure use them. I am dedicated to this business but unsure how and where to "get my presence out there".

Thanks to all,
Judy

Judy, I may be launching a FB ad for a client, so I'll let you know if it turns up any successes!

I'm also very interested - I know that Facebook is pretty popular so I'm wondering if the adspace is beneficial...? Looking forward to updates!

I looked into the facebook ads as well. I think the more you set your dollar amount the more your ad will be advertise. I guess it all depends on how well your pitch is in the ad, that determines how many people it reaches.
