Does anyone use Myspace anymore?
I've set up on Facebook, Twitter and Linked In for my new business as well as setting up accounts for Stumbleupon, Digg, etc. I've also linked all these together as much as I could and never miss the opportunity to add my profile links whenever I'm asked to.
When doing so here I noticed Myspace was included in the social network list. Perhaps because it was one of the first social networks many VAs used, I'm not sure.
I was of the opinion that Myspace really isn't that relevant anymore and besides which, as it's too messy to use and too messy looking, it's not the most professional platform with which to promote one's business.
I can, however, see where it could come in useful to certain niche marketers. Singers, bands and other performing artists have always been strong Myspace users and were among the first to see the potential in social network marketing. So, for example, VAs working in the publicity, promotion, entertainment and events sectors can use Myspace to connect with them.
Anyone else have any other examples of why it's still worth having or hanging on to their Myspace account? Or do you agree that MySpace is pretty much the forgotten network?
