Is it possible to change a fan page name? I thought that it was not possible but a client mentioned that she was told it can be done once. Has anybody else heard of this? If so, how do you do it?
You cannot change the name of a page. If you want the change you must delete and create a new one.
I believe this will not change because if you like a page such as "I love chocolate" and the owner decides to change the name "I no longer love chocolate" it will be hard to keep track of the changes. Especially if you follow many, many pages.
Ditto what Lee said. You can send an appeal message to Facebook about changing it, but the liklihood of them actually answering you or doing it is practically zero. I've only heard of it being changed in very rare circumstances like if it has to do with a legal trademark or if your page is huge enough to actually get Facebook's attention.
